Ultraviolette has taken the wraps off the X47 Crossover, an adventure tourer based on the ‘X’ concept showcased at EICMA 2024.

Introduces segment-first radar technology
The X47 Crossover gets radar technology as standard, making it the first motorcycle at this price point to feature the safety system. Ultraviolette calls it Hypersense, and its a 77GHz rear-facing radar system intended to increase spatial awareness for riders.
The system offers a 150-degree horizontal field of view and 68-degree vertical field of view with tracking distance up to 200 meters. It detects vehicles in the rider’s blind spot and provides alerts on the display as well as via light strips integrated into the mirrors. The system also scans for hazards during lane changes and warns of fast-approaching vehicles and warns the rider in a similar manner.
This radar system also features rear collision detection capability that calculates the speed of approaching vehicles and, if it detects risk, triggers the hazard lamps and cluster warnings.
Ultraviolette has also equipped the X47 Crossover with a dual-camera (dashcam) setup recording 1080p video at 30fps with a 120-degree field of view. A secondary display above the main 5-inch TFT cluster can be used to view footage, with 32GB storage as standard (expandable to 256GB).
The instrument cluster features a redesigned layout, while an onboard eSIM, like on the F77, ensures connectivity for ride stats, theft alerts, and remote tracking. Rider aids include three levels of traction control, dual-channel switchable ABS, and dynamic stability control.

Gets the powertrain and battery pack options from the F77
Like the F77 models, the X47 Crossover will be offered with two battery pack options – a 7.1kWh unit with 211km IDC range and a 10.3kWh option providing 323km IDC range. The top-end model produces peak output figures of 30kW (40.2hp) and 100Nm (610Nm at the rear wheel). Performance figures include a 0-60kph time of 2.7s with 100kph taking 8.1s, and a claimed top speed of 145kph.
The bike also debuts a 1.6kW onboard charger, which Ultraviolette says is the world’s most power-dense air-cooled charger. The company is yet to reveal charging times for this unit.
Suspension duties on the X47 Crossover are handled by a 41mm USD fork at the front and a rear monoshock with 170mm of wheel travel at both ends. Braking hardware comes from Brembo, with a 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc. The bike offers a ground clearance of 208mm, which is respectable considering this isn’t positioned as an all-out off-road machine. For comparison, the KTM 250 Adventure offers a higher 228mm of ground clearance. The bike also debuts an all-new chassis with a cast aluminium subframe.
The X47 with the larger battery pack is, expectantly, the heavier motorcycle weighing 207kg – a whole 11kg heavier than the bike with the smaller battery.

Deliveries set to begin in October
The X47 Crossover is priced at Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 7.1kWh version, with pricing for the larger battery pack to be announced later. For the first 1,000 customers, the bike is available at an introductory Rs 2.49 lakh.
For comparison, the KTM 250 Adventure is priced at Rs 2.40 lakh while the 390 Adventure X costs Rs 3.03 lakh. The X47 is also positioned lower than the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and Super Street with the smaller battery pack models of these bikes priced at Rs 2.99 lakh.
The bike is also available in a limited-edition X47 Desert Wing variant, expected to feature a unique sand-coloured paint scheme and additional touring equipment as standard. Ultraviolette has also introduced a range of accessories such as soft luggage, crash guards, knuckle guards, and panniers that you can choose to equip your X47 Crossover with.
