Kelley Mack, an actress, producer, and voice-over artist best known for her role as Addy on The Walking Dead, died August 2 in her hometown of Cincinnati after a battle with glioma of the central nervous system. She was 33.
“It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go,” read a post from her family on Instagram.
“Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother, Kristen, and steadfast aunt, Karen, present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies 🦋❤️. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.”
Mack revealed last winter that she was undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with the rare and aggressive cancer.
Remembered for her five-episode stint in AMC’s aforementioned The Walking Dead from 2018 to 2019. Mack’s acting career began with the 2008 independent film The Elephant Garden. Earlier she began appearing in commercials during childhood.
On television, Mack made guest appearances on 9-1-1 and Chicago Med, among other projects. She also lent her voice to a variety of commercial and narrative works.
Her film credits include Broadcast Signal Intrusion (2021), Delicate Arch (2024), and the upcoming Universal, on which she also served as executive producer.
Mack is survived by her two siblings, including actor Parker Mack.
