Hero Karizma XMR base variant discontinued

Hero has delisted the Base variant of the Karizma XMR from its website, with only the Top and Combat variants currently featured on it.

  1. Karizma XMR is now only available in two variants
  2. Starting price of Karizma XMR has risen by Rs 19,000

Hero Karizma XMR recently got a TFT display

Along with this, it also got a USD fork

At launch, the Hero Karizma XMR was offered in a single variant equipped with a telescopic fork and an LCD dash. It drew criticism, especially when compared to its chief rival, the Yamaha R15, which featured a USD fork as standard.

That changed recently when Hero updated the Karizma XMR 210, equipping it with a USD fork and a new TFT display, the latter having debuted on the Xpulse 210.

When the Top variant was introduced, it carried a premium of Rs 19,000 over the Base version, which was priced at Rs 1.81 lakh. Now, with the Base variant delisted, the entry point to the Karizma XMR range has moved up to Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The range now consists of the Top and Combat variants.

The Combat variant, priced at Rs 2.02 lakh, includes all the features of the Top variant but with a grey and yellow paint job similar to the Xoom 110 Combat edition.

It continues to be powered by the same 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 25hp and 20.4Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
