FEAR FACTORY Is Done Recording Their First New Record With Vocalist MILO SILVESTRO

Fear Factory fans won’t have to wait too much longer for the band’s first album with new vocalist Milo Silvestro and drummer Pete Webber. Speaking at last weekend’s Bloodstock Open Air in the U.K., guitarist Dino Cazares confirmed that the record is fully tracked and will be mixed later this month. The plan, he says, is to have it out “in time for the summer festivals next year.”

“Everybody wants to know,” said Cazares. “So the record will be out next year. We’re done tracking it. All that’s left now is to mix the record. We’re obviously on tour right now, so when we can get home later on this month, we’ll start mixing the album.”

The as-yet-untitled album will be the band’s first since 2021’s Aggression Continuum and marks a major milestone for the current lineup. Cazares has been guiding Silvestro through what he calls “rigorous training” — from live performance to handling media and even dealing with online criticism.

“We took him through rigorous training ’cause he was pretty much fresh off the boat,” Cazares explained. “And so, everything from how he performs live on stage, how to handle the media, how to handle the criticism online. I pretty much taught him everything I knew to get through all this and to be prepared for what’s to come.”

Dino says he knew Milo was the right choice “right in the rehearsal room.” Unlike other audition hopefuls, Silvestro didn’t need to glance at lyrics and came armed with an impressive repertoire.

I pretty much taught him everything I knew to get through all this and to be prepared for what’s to come.”

Fear Factory is hitting the road this fall for one of their most anticipated tours yet. In honor of the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking 1995 album Demanufacture, the industrial metal legends will embark on a massive U.S. trek that pays tribute to the machine-driven masterpiece.

On select headlining shows, Fear Factory will perform Demanufacture in its entirety front to back. Meanwhile, on their dates as part of the Cavalera brothers playing Chaos A.D., the band will tear through a special early-era set packed with brutality from Soul of a New Machine, Fear Is the Mindkiller, and of course, Demanufacture.

The tour launches September 12 in Flagstaff, AZ, and rolls across the country before closing October 29 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Get the two separate lists of dates below and get your tickets here.
