6k-Mile 2014 McLaren P1 for sale on BaT Auctions – ending August 8 (Lot #204,388)

This 2014 McLaren P1 is #002 of 375 examples produced and was the first P1 offered for sale to the public. It was sold new via McLaren Greenwich of Connecticut and specified with over $109k in MSO equipment, including a green-tinted exposed carbon fiber engine lid and matching trim in the interior along with green contrasting stitching on the upholstery and steering wheel. The following year, the original owner brought the car back to McLaren to be re-bodied with their newly-announced exposed carbon fiber bodywork. It was later imported to Canada and was brought back to the US by the selling dealer following their acquisition in 2024. Power is provided by a mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 and a single electric motor that drives the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle. Equipment includes carbon-ceramic brakes, electro-hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering, a 4.7-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, active aerodynamics, an extendable rear wing, 19″ and 20″ wheels, a reverse camera, carbon-fiber racing seats, dual-zone climate control, and navigation. This P1 has 6k miles and  is now offered as part of Silver Arrow Cars’ Hypercar Holy Trinity Collection in Newport Beach, California by the selling dealer with the owner’s manual, a build sheet, a battery tender, a car cover, and an Ohio title.

The Frank Stephenson-designed P1 debuted at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The production car was produced from October 2013 to December 2015, with approximately 127 examples designated for the US market. The P1 is built on McLaren’s MonoCage carbon-fiber monocoque platform with an extruded aluminum rear subframe. It carried a dry weight of approximately 3,075 pounds.
