18k-Mile 1988 BMW M3 for sale on BaT Auctions – ending September 15 (Lot #209,967)

This 1988 BMW M3 is said to have been acquired new by the current owner and shows 18k miles. It is finished in Salmon Silver Metallic over Cardinal Red Bison leather and is powered by a 2.3-liter S14B23 inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes 15″ basketweave wheels, a sunroof, a rear spoiler, fog lights, front sport seats, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, and an onboard computer. The car spent time in storage from 2014 until being removed in 2025, when it was fitted with a replacement fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump. This E30 M3 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The car is one of approximately 5,300 examples produced for the North American market between 1987 and 1990. Finished in Salmon Silver Metallic (203) with red pinstripes, it has an electric sunroof, a rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, painted mirror caps, twin exhaust outlets, and wider fenders compared to the standard E30. The seller reports that the front bumper cover and rear wing were repainted in preparation for the sale.

The 15″ basketweave wheels feature BMW center caps and are mounted with 205/55 Yokohama Advan tires. The MacPherson strut/semi-trailing arm suspension was revised for the M3 with a thicker rear anti-roll bar as well as shorter and stiffer springs. The ABS system was repaired and the wheel emblems were replaced in June 2025.
